Nigeria U17s Depart Abuja Aboard Emirates Airline On Monday
Published: September 24, 2016Players and officials of the Flamingos will depart the shores of Nigeria aboard an Emirates Airline flight from Abuja on Monday night ahead of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup taking place in Jordan.
The Nigerian U17 National Team, quarter –finalists at the last three editions of the championship (Trinidad and Tobago 2010, Azerbaijan 2012 and Costa Rica 2014), pounded Namibia and South Africa home and away to qualify for the finals.
Nigeria play Brazil on 1st October before matches against Korea DPR and England on 4th and 8th October respectively in the group phase.
All the 21 players included in the squad list for the tournament are based in the domestic championship, with Rivers Angels contributing five.
