Victor Moses, Chelsea Continue Fine Form Against Middlesbrough
Published: November 20, 2016Victor Moses started at the Riverside Stadium as Chelsea registered their sixth Premier League win on the bounce courtesy of a 40th minute strike from Diego Costa against Middlesbrough on Sunday evening in the penultimate game of the 12th round.
They had to work hard to earn the win, though, as they failed to kill off the game with a second goal, despite creating chances, and Moses had an opportunity to score his third goal in the top-flight in the second half but fired over after he was fed by Costa.
Before then, the Nigeria international would have given the Blues the lead in the first half when he fired from a tight angle but his shot was deflected wide.
Moses linked up well with attacking trio Diego Costa, Pedro Rodriguez and Eden Hazard, and was withdrawn after a purposeful evening in the 90th minute.
Chelsea, who were without John Obi Mikel and Ola Aina for today’s fixture, are at the top of the pile in the EPL with 28 points accumulated.
