Abdullahi Shehu Ready To Challenge Ebuehi For Super Eagles FB Position
Published: December 02, 2016
Anorthosis Famagusta defender Abdullahi Shehu is confident that the widely reported call-up of Tyronne Ebuehi to the Super Eagles won’t affect his place in the team.
Ebuehi, a Dutch-born wing-back of Nigerian descent, has been tipped to solve the right back problem in the Super Eagles but Shehu opined that his inclusion will create a much healthier challenge for the position.
“Though I don’t know who Ebuehi is but all I know his I will continue to do my best to warrant a call up into the national team.
“His inclusion will create an healthy challenge in the team and it will help us as a country to achieve our set goal, ” Shehu told allnigeriasoccer.com.
It would be recalled that the ADO Den Haag rising star turned down an invitation from the Nigerian Football Federation to feature in the World cup qualifier against Algeria last month.
