Arokodare reveals preferred destination amid Newcastle, Fulham, Benfica, Trabzonspor links
Published: April 28, 2025
Two-cap Nigeria international Tolu Arokodare is likely to leave Racing Genk in the upcoming transfer window, provided an interested club meets his asking price.
Arokodare's reputation has grown following his exceptional season at Racing Genk, having scored 22 goals in 41 appearances across all competitions.
English Premier League sides Newcastle United and Fulham have been credited with interest in Arokodare, while Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are also closely monitoring his situation, although the links to the Bundesliga giants appear to be mere paper talk.
Additionally, reports suggest that Portuguese club Benfica and Turkish side Trabzonspor are interested in signing the striker, adding to the growing rumors about his next destination.
Addressing the rumors linking him to various suitors, Arokodare confessed that playing in the English Premier League would be the achievement of a long-standing aspiration.
"For the media noise, I just try to stay focused and keep a clear head," Arokodare said to Sports Boom.
"The future is unwritten, but like many players, it’s a dream of mine to one day play in the Premier League."
Arokodare has a contract with Racing Genk until the end of the 2026-2027 season.
The former Golden Eaglets star made his senior debut in a 2026 World Cup qualifying match against Rwanda on March 21, and four days later, he earned his second cap in a 1-1 draw versus Zimbabwe's Warriors in Uyo.
