Published: December 04, 2016
Stabaek will compete in the 2017 Norwegian Tippeligaen after a 2-0 win over Jerv in the second leg of the playoffs on Sunday.
The Bærum-based side were on the brink of playing in the second-tier next season after losing the first leg 1-0 and today’s fixture was heading for a draw until Ohi Omoijuanfo struck twice in the last seven minutes.
The former Norway youth international broke the deadlock in the 83rd minute before bagging his brace two minutes later which sent the Stabaek fans into a frenzy.
In his teenage years, Omoijuanfo was regarded as one of the most exciting talents in Scandinavian football and was invited to train with Manchester City with a view to being offered a contract.
The Oslo-born attacking midfielder represented Jerv in 2014 after a spell with Lillestrom.
