Super Eagles Star Mikel Returns To Porto For Pre-Season Training Next Week
Published: June 26, 2017Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Mikel Agu will return to Portugal on July 4 ahead of the resumption of pre-season training at Primeira Liga side Porto.
The midfielder is is honeymooning in Nigeria following his wedding to longtime girlfriend Henrietta about a week ago in Asaba.
Mikel will fancy his first-team chances at Porto in the forthcoming season, having signed a fresh four-year contract in April, a reward for his excellent performances while on loan at Vitória Setúbal.
But he must impress the recently appointed manager of the Dragons, Sérgio Conceição, who will make a final decision on where he will end up in in the new season.
Porto will face Cruz Azul (July 17), Chivas (July 19) and Vitória de Guimarães (July 23), Portimonense (July 27) and Deportivo La Coruña (July 30) in pre-season.
