Super Eagles Striker Gbolahan Salami Banned For Six Matches In Finland
Published: July 03, 2017Gbolahan Salami has been banned for six games by the Football Association of Finland Disciplinary Committee following the incident that occurred in the league game between KuPS and Mariehamn on June 4.
The Nigeria national-teamer protested vehemently against a disallowed goal by referee Jani Laaksonen, and this earned him a straight red card in the seventh minute of stoppage time.
Initially, Salami was suspended for two matches, against VPS and HJK Helsinki, but the Football Association has extended the ban to six games after he admitted being guilty during a hearing.
