Chelsea Draft In 18-Year-Old Wing-Back To Replace Recuperating Moses
Promising defender Dujon Sterling, 18, is training with Chelsea's first team after inking a new four-and-a-half year contract with the Premier League champions.

With Nigerian right wing-back Victor Moses still recovering from injury, the 18-year-old Sterling has been temporarily promoted to the Blues first team and was in their traveling party to Azerbaijan for the match day five fixture against Qarabag.

Chelsea wrote on their official webpage: ''Sterling has spent much of his recent time with Antonio Conte’s squad, due to the injury absence of Victor Moses.

''The defender made his debut in the Carabao Cup tie against Nottingham Forest, replacing Davide Zappacosta in the 76th minute, and this week signed a new four-and-a-half year contract at the club.''

Sterling has revealed that he has been receiving advice from Moses, stating : ''Working regularly with the first team has been a good experience for me.

''It’s a stepping stone to help me become comfortable working with these players week in, week out, which is my ultimate goal. Victor [Moses] and Davide [Zappacosta] are always talking to me, giving me good advice.''

Moses, 26, has missed the last seven games played by Chelsea in all competitions due to a hamstring complaint but is expected to return to action as from Saturday when the Blues visit Anfield for a Premier League match against Liverpool.
