Bartholomew Ogbeche Fires Hat-Trick In Willem II's 3-3 Draw Vs VVV Venlo
Published: November 25, 2017Former Nigeria international Bartholomew Ogbeche netted a hat-trick in Willem II's 3-3 draw with VVV Venlo at the Seacon Stadion De Koel on Saturday evening.
The visitors had a share of the spoils thanks to the former PSG wonderkid who struck in the second minute of second-half stoppage time.
Vito van Crooy and Damian van Bruggen scored to give VVV Venlo a two-goal lead by the 49th minute before Ogbeche reduced the arrears just past the hour mark.
Clint Leemans made it 3-1 when he converted a spot kick in the 72nd minute, but Ogbeche gave Willem II hope when he headed home an excellent delivery from van der Linden in the 74th minute.
Willem II were on the brink of defeat but their Nigerian star had the final say as he tapped in from close range in injury time.
Nigeria U20 captain Kelechi Nwakali was on the substitutes' bench for the entirety of the game for VVV Venlo while Ogbeche put in a full shift and was cautioned in the 57th minute.
