Blackpool In Talks With Birmingham City Over Extension Of Solomon-Otabor Loan Deal
Published: December 20, 2017EFL League One club Blackpool have set the ball rolling in their bid to extend the loan deal for Birmingham City starlet Viv Solomon-Otabor.
The exciting winger will return to the St Andrew's Stadium immediately after the match against Oxford United on January 6, 2018 if the two clubs fail to reach an agreement.
Despite uncertainty surrounding their transfer plans in the January transfer window, with the club up for sale, Blackpool's current decision makers are in talks with Birmingham City and the plan is for Solomon-Otabor to remain at the Seasiders until the end of the 2017-2018 season.
''Blackpool have been impressed with the performance of Viv Solomon-Otabor, he has done very well since he joined the club,'' a top source told allnigeriasoccer.com.
''They are trying to extend his loan deal until end of the season, they are asking Birmingham City for that.
''It's not certain if Birmingham will give the go-ahead. Viv is enjoying his football at Blackpool and it would be nice if he remains at the club beyond January.''
Solomon-Otabor has made 25 appearances in all competitions for Blackpool and has contributed to six goals ( 2 goals, 4 assists).
