(Photo Confirmation) Nigerian Defender Tipped For Great Things Pens New Deal With Reading
Published: January 03, 2018EFL Championship club Reading have announced that the very promising Nigerian defender Gabriel Osho has been rewarded with a new contract.
The 19-year-old Osho is regarded as one of the top talents at the Royals and has skippered their U23 squad in more than half of the games in the Premier League 2 this season.
The new deal signed by the center half will keep him at the Madejski Stadium until at least June 30, 2020.
Though the central defender has yet to register his name on the score-sheet in the current campaign, he was on target in games against Manchester United and Middlesbrough during the 2016-17 season.
He endeared himself to the Reading faithful by netting a stoppage time equaliser against Sheffield United two years ago in the FA Youth Cup.
Osho would fancy his chances of breaking into the first-team of Reading in the not too distant future after featuring in the EFL Trophy against Colchester Utd, Southend United and Gillingham FC this season.
