Chelsea Top Star Linked With January Move To Manchester United
Published: January 08, 2018Chelsea defender, David Luiz could be set for a reunion with Jose Mourinho at Manchester United after Caught Offside has reportedly revealed the Red Devils are in talks with the Stamford Bridge outfit to broker a deal for the out-of-favour Brazilian.
The 30-year old who has made just eight appearances for the Blues this season has seemingly became a bit-part player under Antonio Conte following a falling out with the Italian, missing out on a dozen of Chelsea's previous games before returning in their goalless draw with Norwich City in the FA Cup third round game last weekend.
Luiz would be out of contract by next summer and it is increasingly unlikely Chelsea would be willing to offer him a new one and Mourinho has swooped into action to try to get a deal over the line for the ex-Paris Saint Germain man.
No fee has been mentioned yet and the recent feud between the two Premier League managers involved might even scupper plans for the deal.
Having rejoined Chelsea from the Parisian club in the summer of 2016, Luiz helped the club to their successful 2016/2017 Premier League title.
