Done Deal: Cheltenham Town Loan In Fulham's Nigerian Striker
Published: January 09, 2018EFL League Two club Cheltenham Town have reached an agreement with Fulham over the transfer of promising Nigerian striker Elijah Adebayo, 20.
Adebayo has penned a five-month deal that will keep him at Cheltenham Town until the end of the 2017-2018 season.
The attacker has been in brilliant form for Fulham's Under-23 team, scoring 11 goals in the first half of the season
''We've been keeping an eye on Elijah for a little while now. He caught my eye when I was down at Fulham a couple of years ago and he is obviously a bit further on now and the top scorer in their Under-23s,'' Cheltenham Town boss Gary Johnson told Cheltenham Town's official website.
"He is probably just about ready now to go into League Two football and Fulham trust us because I've had a few of their players before that have done well.
''We are lucky to get Elijah and I don't think he has been that far away from Fulham's first team.''
Elijah Adebayo previously had loan spells at non-league clubs Bognor Regis Town FC and Slough Town.
