Official : Torino End Association With NAC Breda-Bound Nigeria U23 Striker
Published: January 26, 2018Italian Serie A club Torino write on their official website that they have ended their collaboration with Nigeria U23 international Umar Sadiq.
The Roma striker arrived Torino in the summer transfer window in a loan deal that would have expired on June 30, 2018, but has departed the club due to his limited playing opportunities that saw him make only three appearances.
Sadiq will now return to his parent club but another loan move is on the cards, with Dutch Eredivisie outfit NAC Breda runaway favorites for his signature.
This would be the third loan spell for the lanky forward, having spent the whole of last season at Bologna.
The Football College Abuja product was signed by Roma on a permanent basis in the summer of 2016.
That same year, the 20-year-old was Nigeria's joint-top scorer at the Olympic Games with four goals.
Sadiq scored an impressive 27 goals in 32 matches for Spezia in the Primavera, and has tallied 19 goals for Roma's youth teams.
