Latest Pictures Suggest Iwobi Has Recovered From Injury Ahead Of League Cup Final
Published: February 24, 2018Latest images from the English capital suggest Nigeria star Alex Iwobi has recovered from injury ahead of Arsenal's showdown with Manchester City in the League Cup final on Sunday.
Speaking to the national press in England on Friday morning, the Gunners manager Arsene Wenger had admitted that he wasn't too sure if the Hale End Academy product would feature against the Citizens due to the injury he suffered in the closing minutes against Ostersunds in the Europa League two days ago.
Iwobi was among the players being put through their paces by Wenger during the Gunners final training session at at London Colney on February 24, 2018 in St Albans, England, and he is certainly in line to make the squad tomorrow.
The 21-year-old was pictured wearing black and white bibs, so it's unclear if he would start the game at Wembley.
This latest news would delight Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr as the German plans to name the winger on the roster for the upcoming international fixtures against Poland and Serbia.
