CSKA Moscow Coach: I Can't Praise Musa, He Knows He Can Play Better
Published: May 05, 2018CSKA Moscow coach Viktor Goncharenko has criticized Nigeria intentional Ahmed Musa ahead of the Russian Premier League match against Arsenal Tula and this may have to do with his poor goal-scoring form in March.
The Leicester City loanee has had a hand in five goals in his last five matches for the Muscovites in all competitions but managed one in 9 appearances before hitting form.
''There will be no praise for Musa. In my opinion, for the time being he does not fully use his strong qualities,'' Goncharenko told CSKA Moscow's official website, pfc-cska.com
''At all, I'm not trying to press on him again, he knows that he can play better. Musa has to make more progress....
''My main task as a coach is to pull out of the players everything they can do for the team. ''
Musa was angry to be substituted and refused to shake hands with Viktor Goncharenko in CSKA's 2-1 loss to Dinamo on April 9, but the coach has has let bygones be bygones and continues to name the Nigerian in the starting line-up.
The 25-year-old was named Player of the Week in the Russian Premier League for game week 27 after scoring two goals against Krasnodar.
