Croatia Scout On Injured Moses Simon: He Is A Good Player But Replaceable
Published: May 31, 2018Croatia national team scout Ognjen Vukojević is of the opinion that Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr will not lose sleep over the injury sustained by Gent winger Moses Simon because the player is replaceable.
One of the worst kept secrets is Simon is the 'mysterious' fifth player that will be axed from the Super Eagles preliminary World Cup roster if further tests to be carried out in the United Kingdom confirm he faces up to three weeks on the sidelines.
''Good player, but I don't think it is that much of a handicap. He was in a group of 15-16 players,'' Vukojević told Sportske Novosti.
''They will miss him in terms of squad depth and solutions. But he is not someone whose miss will demand big changes and whom Rohr can't replace.''
Moses Simon has not started the last five matches played by the Super Eagles, including the forfeited game against Algeria in the World Cup qualifiers.
Croatia will tackle South American powerhouse Brazil in their next friendly on June 3, twenty four hours after their World Cup rivals face England at Wembley.
