Feyenoord Prodigy Scores & Tallies Assist As Nigeria U15s Beat World Cup-Bound Falconets
Published: June 01, 2018Feyenoord super kid Lateef Omidiji Jnr was on target and tallied an assist as Nigeria U15s beat World Cup-bound Nigeria Women's U20 team 2-1 in a friendly played in Abuja on Friday, June 1, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
The 14-year-old would have bagged a brace but saw a goal wrongly disallowed after opening the scoring in the 20th minute.
Omidiji received a standing ovation and applause from the crowd when he subbed out with seven minutes remaining in the contest.
Officials at the Nigeria Football Federation that watched the friendly were high-fiving him when he was taken off.
Aside from his goal and assist, another highlight of his impressive display was when he nutmegged a Falconets defender in one play and the spectators appreciated his doggedness.
Omidiji is thoroughly enjoying himself in Abuja because of the great atmosphere, good coaches and great teammates.
He will train with his teammates on Saturday morning from 6am-730am and later they play a friendly against the Super Falcons at 430 pm.
