Francis Uzoho: Super Eagles Did Not Deserve To Lose Against England
Published: June 03, 2018Deportivo de La Coruña goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has commented on Nigeria's 2-1 loss to England in an international friendly on Saturday, June 2.
He could not hide his disappointment after the loss to England and admitted they had problems in the first half.
''To be truthful it feels great, it shows I am improving gradually, still a work in progress,'' ,'' Uzoho told reporters when asked to comment on making the starting line-up against the Three Lions.
''For the fact that I have played in Poland and Wembley it actually shows I am improving and I am happy about that.''
Uzoho added : ''We learnt that if we don't improve in our game, like give more, we will actually not be able to give our best so we had to increase the rhythm in the second half.
''I can't tell you that I feel better because I lost, I don't like losing. I feel sad because we lost the game and we should have gotten at least a draw out of the game but we lost. It was a better performance in the second half.''
