Iwobi, Victor Moses, Balogun, Mikel, Ekong Miss Super Eagles Training Pre-Czech Republic
Published: June 05, 2018Arsenal young star Alex Iwobi and Chelsea right wing-back Victor Moses were among a sizeable number of Super Eagles stars that did not participate in full training with the squad during Monday evening's workout, allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report.
Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr admitted post-match that the Gunners number seventeen suffered from cramps in the closing minutes of the 2-1 loss to England, even though he was seen holding his hamstring.
Leon Balogun's availability for the friendly against Czech Republic is covered in mist, the central defender had to be taken off the pitch to receive medical treatment following a clash of heads with Joel Obi prior to his substitution at half-time.
Whilst the Brighton & Hove new signing only participated in running exercises, Iwobi worked out in the gym and was seen exercising in the swimming pool.
Captain John Obi Mikel, William Troost-Ekong and Brian Idowu also did not train fully, having lasted the full ninety minutes against the Three Lions.
The trio worked in the gym along with Victor Moses who subbed out in the 63rd minute on Saturday.
There was nothing major in the second workout today, apart from the seven-a-side game.
