Rohr Counting On Super Eagles Strikers To Finish Off Argentina
Published: June 25, 2018Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr is counting on his strikers to finish off Argentina when they tackle the two-time world champions in a crucial World Cup match on Tuesday, June 26.
There were a number of positives for the Super Eagles to draw from their last match against Iceland; goalkeeper Francis Uzoho posted a shutout and Ahmed Musa notched a second half brace.
Rohr thinks a draw would be enough for the Super Eagles to qualify for the last sixteen, if Iceland fail to overturn a three-goal swing.
''Simply put, we must take even half chances, and be on the offensive as much as possible,'' Rohr told thenff.com.
''Perhaps, a draw could be good to qualify, but we cannot think and play for a draw. Sometimes, when you play for a draw, you get punched in the face late in the day.
''It will be a tough game and we must go with a tough mentality from the start to the end.''

The Super Eagles landed in Saint Petersburg approximately 1925 hours on Sunday evening and will train on the pitch later today.
