Rohr Tipping France To Knock Out Argentina : Strikers Mbappé, Griezmann, Dembélé To Pose Problems
Published: June 30, 2018Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr is backing the French National Team to knock out Argentina from the 2018 World Cup when both countries face off at the Kazan Arena, Kazan on Saturday afternoon.
The former Bayern Munich defender expects France's pacy offensive players, Kylian Mbappé, Ousmane Dembélé and Antoine Griezmann, to give the Argentinians a tough time on the pitch.
Rohr made the comments in an interview with French sports newspaper L'Equipe ahead of today's round of sixteen clash.
Rohr said : ''France is stronger, more clam. She will win, it will be tight but with a goal in advance.''
''The speed of the French attackers will pose a lot of problems to the Argentine defenders.
''And Didier also managed to strengthen his defense. It was the big job before the start of the World Cup and it became a big defense.''
Argentina scraped through to the last sixteen after they beat Nigeria 2-1 in their final group match on Tuesday, with Marcos Rojo netting the winner on 86 minutes.
