Eagles World Cup Star Omeruo Returns To Training With Chelsea Ahead Of Loan Move
Published: August 07, 2018Super Eagles World Cup star Kenneth Omeruo has been sighted again at Cobham following his trip to Turkey, where he held contract talks with Super League clubs over a loan move.
The well informed Carefree Youth has tweeted that Kenneth Omeruo was spotted back at Cobham on Tuesday and trained for the first time since July 31.
As it has been the case for the past five years, the future of the central defender has been the subject of speculation in the summer transfer window as he has been told by new boss Sarri he is surplus to requirements.
Thus, Omeruo returning to Cobham does not mean his proposed move to Turkey has been locked up in the drawer.
In the last few days, the former Sunshine Stars defender has been linked with virtually all the top clubs in Turkey, including Beskitas, Galatasaray and Fenerbahce, plus Bursaspor, Goztepe, Alanyaspor and Kasımpaşa.
Chelsea have already loaned out England U21 star Fikayo Tomori, while Ola Aina and Ike Ugbo are expected to head out on loans before the window closes for business this month.
