Southampton 0 Chelsea 3: Hazard, Willian & Pedro Preferred Ahead Of Victor Moses
Published: October 07, 2018Victor Moses wasn't listed as Chelsea humbled Southampton 3-0 at Saint Marys on Sunday afternoon.
Moses was expected to feature for the Blues in the game against the Saints but he didn't make the matchday squad listed by coach Maurizio Sarri.
The Italian gaffer started with wingers Eden Hazard and Willian, Pedro replaced the Brazil international with 15 minutes left on the clock.
Chelsea created raft of chances in the opening exchanges of the English Premier League game. Eden Hazard and Willian wasted easy opportunities in quick succession.
Danny Ings was guilty of a criminal miss for Southampton when he should have converted from close range.
Hazard applied a brilliant touch before poking home following a brilliant pass from Ross Barkley for the curtain raiser in the 32nd minute.
Twelve minutes into the second half, Barkley scored from Olivier Giroud's assist to double the lead for Chelsea.
Chelsea made the points safe at injury time through substitute Alvaro Morata.
Moses has made two league appearances for Chelsea and accumulated 26 minutes in the 2018/19 season.
