Super Eagles Stars Mikel, Omeruo Pay Tribute To Retiring Ex-Chelsea Hitman Drogba
Two current Nigeria internationals, John Obi Mikel and Kenneth Omeruo, with close ties to Chelsea have paid tribute to Ivory Coast legend Didier Drogba who recently announced his retirement from playing football.

Drogba had two different spells at Chelsea, scoring 164 goals in 381 games and winning four Premier League titles, four FA Cups, three League Cups and two FA Community Shields.

The 40-year-old helped Chelsea to win the 2012 Champions League, starting and going the distance in the showpiece vs Bayern Munich along with Super Eagles captain Mikel.

Omeruo was acquired by Chelsea in January 2012, six years before Drogba switched to Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua.

Writing on Instagram, Mikel said : ''Alla ggripa πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚@didierdrogba So many memories, so many victories, so many lessons learnt with and from you. Good luck mate ⚽️''.

Drogba played against Nigeria at the 2006, 2008 and 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, and scored 65 goals in 104 international outings.
