Goalkeeper
Kayode Olufemi (Lobi Stars): The 'Ortom Boys' goalkeeper was a domineering presence in between the sticks for his club in their 2-1 CAF Champions League opening group game versus Mamelodi Sundowns, including pulling off a point-blank save to keep out Ricardo Nascimento's header from a corner.
Defenders
Kenneth Omeruo (Leganes): The Nigeria international held his own in the centre of defence for Mauricio Pellegrino's team in their narrow 1-0 win over Huesca in the Spanish topflight.
Tiago Ilori (Reading): Ilori started and completed his side's 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest at the Madjeski Stadium, their first Championship win since November, 2018.
Ali Koiki (Swindon Town): The 19-year-old left back made a pleasing senior debut for Town in the League Two, helping them to a 2-2 draw with Lincoln City. The Burnley loanee can kick on from there.
Midfielders
Phillip Billing (Huddersfield): With a game-high rating of 8:26 by Whoscored, Billing was undoubtedly the best player on parade at the Cardiff City Stadium in their goalless draw with Cardiff in a Premier League game.
Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester City): Ndidi distinguished himself with his usual tenacity and finesse for Leicester City despite their 2-1 home loss to Southampton, scoring his side's only goal of the game.
Strikers
Ademola Lookman (Everton): The dazzling Tofees youngster showed his talents in their 2-0 win over Bournemouth at the Goodison park, reaping rewards of his hard work with a stoppage time assist for the game-sealing goal.
Moses Simon (Levante): Though he could not come off the bench for the 'Granotas' in the game versus Atletico Madrid yesterday, Moses started and went the distance as they beat Barcelona in a Copa Del Ray game at the Ciutat de València.
