FA Cup: Osula opens Newcastle account; Chelsea loanee Ugochukwu bags assist for Southampton

Denmark U21 international of Nigerian descent, William Osula opened his Newcastle United goal account in their 3-1 victory over Bromley in an Emirates FA Cup clash at St. James' Park on Sunday.

The 21-year-old striker netted Newcastle's third goal after Lewis Miley and Anthony Gordon had turned the game around for the hosts, following an early opener from Bromley's Cameron Congreve.

Osula's goal, his first of the season in ten appearances across all competitions, will be a significant boost to his confidence as he aims for more first-team opportunities.

Meanwhile, Chelsea loanee Lesley Ugochukwu delivered a standout performance in Southampton's 3-0 win over Swansea City.

The France U21 international midfielder, nephew of retired Nigeria international Onyekachi Apam, provided the assist for Kamaldeen Sulemana's opening goal, playing a key role in the Saints' dominance.

Though Ugochukwu was substituted in the second half for William Smallbone, his display was crucial in Southampton's victory.

Ugochukwu will hope that this performance boosts his confidence and helps him further establish himself in English football.
