Onuachu Hits 15th Goal Of The Season As FC Midtjylland Beat AaB
Published: February 18, 2019Former Nigeria U23 invitee Paul Onuachu netted his fifteenth goal of the season across all competitions as FC Midtjylland beat Aalborg 2-1 at the MCH Arena (Herning) on Monday evening.
The 24-year-old is enjoying another productive season for the Danish champions and it is looking likely that they will struggle to retain his services in the summer, having rejected bids in the January transfer window.
Today, Onuachu broke the deadlock in the 45th minute, Evander made it 2-0 five minutes after the restart, then Tom Van Weert pulled a goal back on 57 minutes.
A breakdown of his goals excluding friendlies reveals that he netted 12 times in the Danish Super Liga, twice in the qualifying rounds of the Europa League and once in the Sydbank Pokalen.
With five assists to his name, Onuachu has been directly involved in 20 goals from 27 appearances in all competitions.
The FC Ebedei product has a contract with FC Midtjylland until the end of the 2020-21 campaign.
