FC Midtjylland's Onuachu Maintains Excellent Disciplinary Record As Red Card Overturned
Published: March 01, 2019Red-hot Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu has had his red card which he received in the last round of Super Liga matches against AGF overturned by the Danish Football Disciplinary Board.
Thus, the former Dream Team VI invitee is available for selection when FC Midtjylland face Nordsjælland on Monday, March 4.
FC Midtjylland announced on Thursday that the second yellow card shown to Onuachu and the subsequent red card in the 67th minute has been reversed.
The 24-year-old argued that the second yellow card was undeserved and the Danish Football Disciplinary Board have closely analyzed the incident after FCM lodged an official appeal.
Onuachu has never been sent off after 182 career appearances as a professional since he made his first-team debut against Randers in November 2012.
The FC Ebedei product has received 29 yellow cards in total in domestic and European competitions.
