Nigerian Teenage Sensation To Sign New Three-Year Deal At Arsenal
Published: August 16, 2019
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Nigerian teenage sensation Miguel Azeez is set to commit his long-term future to Arsenal by signing a new long-term contract.
The highly-rated central midfielder will have the honour of being the first player among the new intake of Arsenal academy scholars to sign a professional contract with the North London club when he turns 17 in exactly five weeks time.
One of the most gifted players at the Arsenal Academy, Azeez has agreed a three-year contract which will be activated on September 20.
The Gunners have an option to extend Azeez's contract by a further two years before the end of the 2021-2022 season.
The 16-year-old made his competitive debut for Arsenal U18s in the U18 Premier League at the age of fifteen while still a schoolboy and made his unofficial debut for the U23 team in a pre-season friendly against Boreham Wood last month.
Azeez is one player to keep an eye on this season and could make his first team debut if he continues to impress for the youth teams.
