Makinwa Points Out Two Factors That Helped The Super Eagles Beat Benin, Lesotho
Published: November 19, 2019Katsina United chief coach Henry Makinwa has pointed out two key factors that proved crucial for the Super Eagles in their recent AFCON qualifying victories.
Nigeria gave their chances of qualifying for the continental tournament in 2021 a massive boost after picking up two impressive wins over Benin and lately Lesotho.
Makinwa, who is a UEFA pro-licensed coach enthused that Gernot Rohr's charges were determined after going behind and having to salvage wins from losing positions, as well as showing a high level of patriotism in their duty.
"They have impressed collectively", Makinwa told allnigeriasoccer.com in an exclusive interview on Monday evening.
"It is heartwarming that the boys have shown determination and high level of patriotism, having to go behind in both games, and then remaining competent enough to haul themselves back into it," the former striker continued.
"In truth, they thoroughly deserved the winnings."
Makinwa represented 17 clubs in 11 countries during his active playing career before moving into management.
