Former West Ham Striker Victor Obinna To Train With Italian Club
Published: November 25, 2019U.S.D. 1913 Seregno Calcio are working on a deal to sign Nigeria international Victor Obinna, the President of the Italian Serie D club, Davide Erba confirmed on Monday.
Obinna has been searching for a new club since February 2018 when he terminated his contract with Cape Town City.
The former West Ham and Inter Milan star tried his luck with Potenza and Vedeggio earlier this year but nothing came out of it.
''Marco Borriello is certainly a player that interests us, from Wednesday we will have another player with us, he will train in fact with the group Victor Obinna, former footballer of Chievo and Inter,'' Erba was quoted as saying by tuttoseried.com.
Apart from the aforementioned clubs, Obinna has also worn the colours of Lokomotiv Moscow, SV Darmstadt 98, MSV Duisburg and Malaga, and played for domestic clubs Plateau United, Kwara United and Enyimba prior to his move abroad.
The 32-year-old was a member of the Super Eagles squads to the 2006, 2008 and 2010 Africa Cup of Nations and featured at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
Seregno are fourth in Group B of the Serie D with 27 points from 14 games.
