Former Super Eagles Coach Runs The Rule Over Nigeria International Defender In Spain
Former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh was among the spectators at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán as Sevilla recorded a 1-0 win over CD Leganes on game week 15 in La Liga on Sunday, December 1.

The onetime Ajax Amsterdam, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund midfielder attended the game in his personal capacity as he is currently unemployed after parting company with Dutch club Fortuna Sittard in February 2018.

CD Leganes pay the wages of two Super Eagles central defenders in Kenneth Omeruo and Chidozie Awaziem but the former Chelsea-owned player was not in the Leganes squad due to fitness concerns.

The Porto loanee benefited from the absence of Omeruo, going the distance for only the sixth time this season, after he was a non-playing substitute in the three last matches.

Having observed Awaziem at close quarters, Oliseh was impressed with the performance of the CD Leganes number 12.

He posted on Twitter : ''Interesting experience watching Live Sevilla take on Leganes in Spain. Our own Nigerian Chidozie Awaziem is impressive so far, showing so much intelligence & hard play.''

Leganes are the bottom team in the Spanish topflight with only six points from fifteen matches.
