Kingsley Michael Injury : 2015 U17 World Cup Winner Returns To Bologna
Published: January 10, 2020Allnigeriasoccer.com has learned that former Nigeria U20 international Kingsley Michael is back at Bologna.
The central midfielder was loaned out to US Cremonese for the entirety of the 2019-2020 campaign but had to return to parent club Bologna after suffering an injury in a league game against Pescara on November 22.
If Michael does not suffer a relapse during his rehabilitation at Bologna, he is expected to return to US Cremonese before the transfer window closes for business at the end of this month.
The injury he suffered against Pescara was so serious that he had to be stretchered off the pitch in the tenth minute after collapsing in pain.
Before his spell on the sidelines, the Owerri-born midfielder was named in ten matchday squads for Serie B games, starting five matches for the Grigiorossi this season.
In August 2019, the 2015 U17 World Cup winner made his full debut in the Serie A, playing for 77 minutes as Bologna were held to a 1-1 draw by Hellas Verona.
The 20-year-old Michael played on loan at Perugia in the 2018-2019 season.
