Super Eagles Winger Misses Bordeaux Training Amid Transfer Speculation
According to reports, Nigeria international Samuel Kalu did not take part in Bordeaux training on Tuesday morning amid speculation linking him with an exit from the Ligue 1 club before the close of the winter transfer market.

Regional newspaper Sud Ouest writes that the winger was among three players that did not work out on grass, the others being Aurélien Tchouaméni and Raoul Bellanova, who are both in talks to join new teams.

Kalu was indoors as his teammates, including Josh Maja, were sweating it out on the pitch, which indicates that he is surplus to requirements.

Bordeaux manager Paulo Sousa has not summoned him for the team's last two games against Pau FC in the Cup and Nantes in the league.

It is unclear if Kalu is attracting concrete interest from other European clubs though he has been linked with possible moves to teams in Turkey, Germany and Spain.

The 22-year-old has three and a half years remaining on his contract with Bordeaux, whom he joined from Gent in August 2018.
