Stay At Nantes Or Return To Levante : Super Eagles Winger Announces His Decision
Published: February 07, 2020Nigeria international Moses Simon has announced that he wants to extend his stay at Nantes beyond the end of the 2019-2020 season.
The French Ligue 1 team loaned the winger for the entirety of the season, with a purchase clause of five million euros inserted into the deal which the club intend to activate following his fine performances.
In 25 outings across all competitions for Nantes, Moses has tallied eight goals and has the same number of assists to his name, and was on target in a 2-1 loss to Paris Saint-Germain three days ago.
Speaking at Thursday's pre-match press conference ahead of the trip to Dijon, Moses said : "Yes of course, I want to stay. I feel very good at Nantes. However, my future does not depend solely on me!".
On the matchday 24 fixture at Stade Gaston-GĂ©rard, he said : "Dijon ? It's a good team, we go there to win. All points are important in this championship!"
Levante signed Simon from Gent for a fee of 3 million euros in the summer of 2018 and decided to loan him out because he wasn't convincing in his debut season in Spain.
