'He Got Dizzy' - Leganes Coach Reveals Omeruo Asked To Be Substituted After Nasty Clash Of Heads
Kenneth Omeruo could not complete Leganes' 2-0 loss to Levante in the Spanish La Liga on Saturday afternoon following a clash of heads with teammate Aitor Ruibal, which led to his substitution in the 73rd minute.

Twenty minutes into the second half, the Nigeria international challenged for a header but ended up slamming his forehead into the right eye of Ruibal.

The two players received treatment on the pitch before returning to action, but Omeruo asked to substituted five minutes later because he was feeling dizzy.

Assuming the former Chelsea central defender stayed on the pitch, he risked suffering an internal injury in addition to a concussion.

Speaking to reporters at the post-match press conference, Leganes coach Javier Aguirre provided an injury update on Omeruo, saying : "Omeruo there was no blood but he got dizzy, he asked for the change and that's it. A work accident, I see it that way."

Levante secured a win thanks to first half goals from Ruben Rochina and Roger Marti.

Today's matchday 23 fixture was Omeruo's sixteenth league appearance of the season, all of them as a starter.
