'He's Certainly Someone To Look Up To' - QPR's Osayi-Samuel Hopes To Reach Heights Of Sinclair
Published: March 29, 2020
Queens Park Rangers' Nigerian-born starlet Bright Osayi-Samuel is hoping to reach the heights of Trevor Sinclair.
They both share some similarities. Aside from being tricky wingers, they started their professional careers at Blackpool before joining Queens Park Rangers.
Osayi-Samuel is having his best season since turning professional, with 5 goals and a further eight assists in 29 matches in the English Championship, leading to speculation that a move to the Premier League could be on the cards.
Speaking to the official website of Queens Park Rangers, Osayi-Samuel said : "When I was at Blackpool, they used to show videos of him (Sinclair) – I remember that he was very direct and skilful,” Bright explained.
"They used to say that if you have a career like his, you’ll go far.
"He’s certainly someone to look up to. There have been times when he’s messaged me, wishing me luck and stuff like that, which is nice."
