Saka Nominated For Arsenal Player Of The Season After Breakthrough 2019-2020 Campaign
Published: July 28, 2020Anglo-Nigerian teenager Bukayo Saka has been nominated for Arsenal's Player of the Season, informs the official website of the Gunners, arsenal.com.
The Hale End Academy graduate faces competition from club captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and German goalkeeper Bernd Leno in his bid to win the yearly accolade.
Saka has been one of Arsenal's standout performers this term, and showed his versatility by playing in a variety of positions including left-back, left wing-back, left midfielder, left winger and right winger.
The 18-year-old has cemented his spot in the Gunners first team, highlighted by his 38 appearances in all competitions, of which 29 were starts.
He netted his first goal in an Arsenal shirt vs Eintracht Frankfurt on matchday one of the Europa League, before strikes against Standard Liege, Bournemouth (FA Cup) and Wolverhampton Wanderers (Premier League).
The England U19 international has claimed 12 assists so far, more than any other Arsenal player.
