'This Is A Strong Footballer' - Ex-Arsenal Midfielder Arshavin Hails Qualities Of Victor Moses
Published: October 26, 2020
Former Arsenal midfielder Andrey Arshavin has hailed the qualities of Victor Moses and believes that the Chelsea-owned winger will make an impact in the Russian Premier League this season.
Spartak Moscow were in the market for a right-sided player in the recently concluded transfer window and have bolstered their ranks with the signing of Moses on a season-long loan with an option to buy him permanently next year.
The former Nigeria international is already off and running at Spartak, needing only 67 minutes to open his account for the Muscovites.
Arshavin knows all about the qualities of Moses having faced him in the Premier League when the Nigerian was at Wigan Athletic.
"I think it was clear that this is a strong footballer for our championship. Moses has strengthened the necessary position for Spartak," Arshavin said on the Match TV channel (via Sport Express).
"I remember how he played for Wigan against us. He played more with the ball. Now - more at a distance. Spent a lot of time at Inter and Chelsea."
Spartak Moscow marquee signing Moses is in the frame to make his home debut when they take on Rostov on Saturday, October 31.
