Former Super Eagles Invitee Ehizibue Transfer-Listed By Bundesliga Club Cologne
Published: January 07, 2021Former Super Eagles invitee Kingsley Ehizibue has been declared surplus to requirements by Cologne, eighteen months after joining the German Bundesliga club from PEC Zwolle.
According to Bild, the former Netherlands U21 international is among six players transfer-listed by Cologne following a decline in his performances this season.
Cologne are ready to part company with Ehizibue in the January transfer window if they receive the right offer from an interested club.
The 25-year-old has lost his place in Cologne's starting lineup with only one start and three appearances off the bench in the last ten Bundesliga games during which he logged 74 minutes.
He caught the eye in his first season at the Billy Goats and was rewarded with a call-up to the Nigeria National Team for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sierra Leone last March but the games were later postponed by CAF as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
Ehizibue's contract with Cologne expires at the end of the 2022-2023 season.
