Belgian Club Battle Logrones For The Signature Of Former Arsenal Midfielder Nwakali
Published: January 27, 2021Allnigeriasoccer.com has been told that former Arsenal midfielder Kelechi Nwakali is angling for a loan move away from La Liga club SD Huesca before the close of the January transfer window.
The 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup-winning captain is hoping to leave the Azulgranas on a temporary basis to get more playing opportunities.
Although Nwakali has consistently made SD Huesca matchday squads for La Liga matches, he has managed only five appearances in the division, the last of which came against Osasuna on November 20, and has logged 238 minutes in all competitions.
Spanish Segunda Division side Logroñés have opened a line of communication with SD Huesca over the loan signing of the former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles star until the end of the 2020-2021 season.
Representatives of the midfielder are also in talks with an unnamed Belgian First Division A club about a transfer and are hoping to strike an agreement within the next forty-eight hours.
Having said that, SD Huesca higher-ups want Nwakali to remain in Spain so they can closely monitor his performances while the Diamond Academy product would not mind moving to Belgium.
The plan is for the midfielder to play between fifteen to twenty games wherever he ends up.
