Super Eagles Hopeful Moffi Nets Brace In Lorient Draw Against Monaco
Super Eagles hopeful Terem Moffi was the hero for his side Lorient as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Monaco in a French Ligue 1 clash at the Stade Louis II on Sunday afternoon.

The former KV Kortrijk striker continues to press his claim for a call-up to the national team, after scoring a brace against the Principality outfit.

Moffi opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the seventh minute and got his second of the game just past the hour mark but Wissam Ben Yedder responded twice, at the start of the second half and in stoppage time, to prevent the visitors from taking all three points.

The 21-year-old has been in scintillating form since the start of 2021, scoring seven goals in eight games across all competitions.

There is so much excitement about Moffi back in his homeland and Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr has confirmed that he is monitoring his performances in France with a view to handing him a maiden call-up for next month's 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Lorient are battling to beat the drop, currently sitting 17th in the 20-team table with 23 points from 24 matches, despite the fine form of their Nigerian striker.
