Former Super Eagles invitee Solomon-Otabor scores first-ever goal for Wigan Athletic
Former Super Eagles invitee Solomon-Otabor netted his first-ever goal for Wigan Athletic as they claimed a 2-0 victory over Plymouth Argyle in a League One clash at Home Park on Tuesday night.

The Birmingham City academy product has caught the eye since joining the Latics on a free transfer last summer so much so that his contract has been extended twice.

Thirteen minutes in, Solomon-Otabor's superb finish gave Wigan Athletic the lead after a brilliant cross from Gavn Massey.

It was his first goal in any competition since October 30, 2019, with his last strike coming against FK Etar in the Bulgarian efbet Liga.

The winger had a chance to increase Wigan's lead on 18 minutes but his effort went wide and his shot from a tight angle failed to hit the target three minutes later.

Solomon-Otabor, who started his seventh consecutive game since recovering from a long-term injury, was replaced two minutes into stoppage time. It was his 18th league game for the DW Stadium outfit.
