Super Eagles left-back Sanusi reacts to Porto knocking out Juventus from Champions League
Published: March 10, 2021Super Eagles left-back Zaidu Sanusi has taken to social media to react to Porto's qualification to the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League.
Despite losing 3-2 at the Allianz Stadium (Torino) on Tuesday night, the Portuguese champions are through to the next round due to the away goals rule with the overall fixture ending 4-4 on aggregate.
Much of the pre-match talk in the Italian media prior to the round of 16 fixture centered around the individual duel between Sanusi and former Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado and it was the Nigerian that came out on top in the first part of the game.
Writing on Instagram, Sanusi stated : "We are together fc porto, good job guys 🔵⚪️💙✅".
The 23-year-old completed a team-high four dribbles even though he wasn't on the pitch for approximately the last quarter of the game, and made one key pass.
Sanusi has started all the matches played by Porto in this season's Champions League, scoring once against Marseille on matchday four.
