Reading midfielder Olise's market value upgraded, a day after making Nigeria's standby list
The market value of Reading attacking midfielder Michael Olise has been upgraded, a day after he was named in the standby list for Nigeria's upcoming 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against the Republic of Benin and Lesotho.

The former Chelsea schoolboy has gained four million euros and is now valued at 12 million euros by Transfermarkt, making him the eleventh most expensive player in the Championship.

Around a year ago, Olise's market value was just 800,000 euros but his valuation started to rise after forcing his way into the Royals' first team reckoning.

To date, the 19-year-old has 62 first team appearances under his belt and on the international stage he represented France at the prestigious Toulon Tournament in 2019.

Olise is the most expensive player at Reading, ranks 16th among all 2001-born players, and the 63rd most expensive attacking midfielder in the world.

He was named the English Football League Young Player of the Month for December 2020.
