Published: March 30, 2021Nigeria ended their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers campaign with a 3-0 win over Lesotho thanks to goals from Victor Osimhen, Oghenekaro Etebo and Paul Onuachu.
Here's a look at the Super Eagles player ratings from the matchday six fixture held at the Teslim Balogun Stadium.
The Starters
Goalkeeper
Francis Uzoho : Was not overly troubled by the Lesotho attack. Good outing. 7/10
Defenders
Tyronne Ebuehi : The right back made a return to the team. A very good outing. Showed his class, linked up well with the attack. 8/10.
Zaidu Sanusi : A good game as usual but had a better day in Porto-Novo. 7/10.
William Troost-Ekong : Captain for the second straight game, he was solid at center back. Commanding. 6.5/10.
Leon Balogun : The Glasgow Rangers star is becoming more and more influential for the national team. Involved in almost everything. Knew when to overlap. 8.5/10.
Zaidu Sanusi : A good game as usual but had a better day in Porto-Novo. 7/10.
William Troost-Ekong : Captain for the second straight game, he was solid at center back. Commanding. 6.5/10.
Leon Balogun : The Glasgow Rangers star is becoming more and more influential for the national team. Involved in almost everything. Knew when to overlap. 8.5/10.
Midfielders and strikers
Oghenekaro Etebo : Scored the second goal and was dominant in the midfield. Saw his shot from long range hit the woodwork in the 79th minute. 8/10.
Wilfred Ndidi : Made some sloppy passes but overall still a big factor in how the team played. 7.5/10.
Alex Iwobi : The Everton star returned to the team after missing the game versus Benin. He had a good evening and was sprightly all through before he was substituted. Has to improve his shooting skills. 7/10.
Samuel Chukwueze : The Villarreal winger had an average game and was poor in some of his decision making 6.5/10.
Kelechi Iheanacho : Assisted Victor Osimhen's goal with a clever chip. An encouraging performance from the Leicester 'senior' man. 7.5/10.
Victor Osimhen : The star of the game who scored, assisted another and had a goal disallowed. Almost perfect. 9/10.
