'Probably the quickest player I've seen' - Porto star sends warning to Chelsea about Super Eagles LB
Published: April 01, 2021Speaking less than a week before Porto face off with Chelsea in a mouthwatering UEFA Champions League clash, Porto attacker Toni Martínez has hinted at Zaidu Sanusi's pace causing problems for the Blues.
Ahead of the game at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán (Sevilla), the former West Ham star gave a lowdown on his teammates, saying the Super Eagles star is the fastest player he has seen in his life.
Sanusi broke into the Porto starting lineup following the transfer of first choice left-back Alex Telles to Manchester United in October, and has started every single game played by the Portuguese champions in this season's Champions League, scoring one goal in a group game against Marseille.
On the personalities in the Porto dressing room, Martínez told The Sportsman : "Zaidu Sanusi. He’s the funny one, he’s always joking with team-mates and gets on with everyone.
"He's too quick, he’s probably the quickest player I’ve seen in my life!"
The 23-year-old Sanusi was in action for the Super Eagles during the international break, starting both games against the Republic of Benin and Lesotho.
