What Iheanacho and Ndidi said after Leicester City's FA Cup win against Chelsea
Published: May 16, 2021Nigeria internationals Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi have taken to social media to react to Leicester City's 1-0 win against Chelsea in the final of the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday evening.
The Foxes became the 44th different team to win the oldest football competition in the world thanks to Youri Tielemans' magnificent second-half strike from distance.
Ndidi and Iheanacho helped Leicester City see off Stoke City, Brentford, Brighton & Hove Albion, Manchester United and Southampton before featuring in yesterday's final at Wembley.
Leicester City's first-ever FA Cup win after losing four previous finals coincided with the birthday of Ndidi's daughter.
The holding midfielder posted on Instagram : "Perfect birthday gift for my daughter 😭❤️ What a feeling having to see the fans again Thank you everyone 🦊💙".
Iheanacho said on Twitter : "OLUOMACHUKWU Champions 🏆🥇@LCFC 💙 E go choke for Naija 🇳🇬🇳🇬".
Leicester City face Chelsea again in the Premier League on Tuesday and a win would secure their place in next season's Champions League potentially at the Blues expense.
