'Top player' - Agent confirms Trabzonspor have made enquiries about signing Super Eagles defender
Published: November 27, 2024The agent of Super Eagles defender Bruno Onyemeachi has confirmed reports linking the player to Turkish Süper Lig side Trabzonspor as the winter transfer window approaches.
Onyemaechi, who has been a standout performer for Boavista in Portugal, is reportedly under consideration by the Black Sea Storm due to his solid displays in Liga Portugal.
The 25-year-old left-back has contributed to his team's efforts this season, scoring one goal in eleven league appearances for Boavista.
His versatility, which also allows him to play as a centre-back or wingback, has made him a target for several European clubs, with Trabzonspor reportedly among his admirers.
When asked to confirm reports linking Bruno Onyemaechi with a move to Trabzonspor, a representative of TGC Sports Management told allnigeriasoccer.com: "For now, it is a normal procedure from a good club asking questions about a top player."
Onyemachi's potential move to Trabzonspor is seen as part of the club's search for a reliable left-back ahead of the January transfer window.
The Super Eagles star signed a permanent contract with Boavista in 2023 after a successful loan spell, committing to a three-year deal that runs through June 2026.
Onyemaechi will have just one year remaining on his contract with Boavista by the end of the season, opening the door for potential negotiations with interested clubs, including Trabzonspor in January 2026.
